About the day

21 high school filmmakers spent Saturday, September 12, 2026 at John Hope Community Center. They came in with a short film already submitted, then rotated through hands-on stations in camera, lighting and editing with people who shoot for a living. The films competed for a $1,000 award sponsored by State Farm.
